Inner Child Work: Initiating Connection is a self-guided online course with an easily accessible set of tools for you to learn and practice when you are cultivating your relationship with your inner child.

It is informed by my fifteen years of providing psychotherapy for trauma survivors, adults struggling with anxiety and depression, and individuals searching for a deeper connection to themselves and others.

As someone who has both had my own process of connecting to and working with my little child within, and, has helped countless patients in my private psychotherapy practice to do the same, I can vouch for the significant benefits that can come from doing this important work. Ultimately, this is one of the most important tasks we can undertake as adults to reclaim our natural gifts and integrate valuable and vulnerable parts of our psyches.

Engaging with the younger versions of ourselves who still exist in us can provide healing and nurturance and allow for a greater sense of wholeness. This is particularly true if you were raised in a narcissistic, neglectful, or abusive family of origin. A deeper sense of self-awareness and understanding can come from connecting to your child-self, and it can result in greater self-compassion.

The course is comprised of six individual Practice Exercises, including guided imagery, expressive arts, meditation, and other practical steps that you can take to begin to cultivate a relationship with your inner child.

You can do them in the order I have them, or, if you feel compelled to do them in a different order, you are welcome to follow your instinct.

If the material in this course is evocative in ways that feel overwhelming, I strongly encourage you to enlist the support of a licensed psychotherapist, particularly one trained in Schema Therapy or Internal Family Systems if possible.

I created this course to be accessible for all and I hope that you find that it enhances the quality of your life. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.
